Fencing is Hard Work

Guest post by Mom.

Happy Monday!  Over the last couple of weeks, I decided to go back to my paper crafting roots and try my hand at some scrapbooking pages.

I love this photo of Liz.  My husband snapped it during fencing practice a couple of weeks ago.    When I watch fencing, the athletes make it look so easy and balletic, that I almost forget that is it such a physical sport.  I took some fencing lessons last year so that I could learn more about the sport that is my daughter’s passion.  To say I was a “hot mess” when I was done is an understatement.

If  you would like to learn more about fencing, here is a info graphic from the Guardian for the 2012 London Olympics that gives a great over view.   (slide 8)

In other, related news, earlier this month, we found out that Liz was picked to be a Taste Agent for Skratch Labs.   Skratch Labs products are designed to optimize performance using real, all-natural ingredients.  (You can read all the details on the Skratch Labs website.)

Daisy Doodles Blog Hop

Daisy Doodles is having a blog hop to celebrate the store’s 1st birthday and Jules’ wedding anniversary.   You should have just come from my Mom’s (Cheryl’s) blog.   If not, you may want to start at the beginning at the Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge blog.  Don’t forget to leave a comment on every blog on the hop for 17 chances to win a Daisy Doodles image.

I was very excited to be asked to participate in the blog hop. This is my very first blog hop.   Here is my project.  I had to color this image 3 times.  I messed up the first one.  I dropped a marker on the other.  This is my third try.

I made this card to celebrate the end of the school year and to give to my teacher, Ms. Robinson.

Here is the sketch we were asked to use. I turned it for my card.

I used Daisy Doodles Forget Me Not digital stamp set on my card.  You can win it by becoming a follower and leaving a comment. One lucky winner will be chosen at random. Leave your comment before midnight on June 5th to be in the drawing for the prize.  The winner will be announced here on my blog and on the Daisy Doodles blog on June 12th.  Don’t forget to check back to see if you won.

There is also 50% off sale going on at the Daisy Doodles store thru the week end!  This is a great time to get those Daisy Doodles digital images and papers.  June 15th there will be a mini challenge at the DD Creative Challenge blog ...a Daisy Doodles image must be used to participate and win a gift certificate to the store!!

Your next stop on the hop is Mandy.

Supplies used:  Forget Me Not digital stamp from Daisy Doodles, Neenah Solar Crest CS, Bazzill Basics CS, October Afternoon DP, Copic markers, misc rick rack, Stampin’ Up rub on

Sentimental Sundays Guest Designer

I'm soooo excited to be a guest designer for the Sentimental Sundays challenge. My mom is on the DT and I wanted to join in. The challenge this week is Cute & Cuddly with a sentiment.

I think this is one of the best cards I have made. I did most of it myself. (Mom helped with the printing and the sentiment.) I am going to send this to Operation Write Home. My mom is working on getting enough cards to fill a box and send. I used a precolored image (Pup and Boots) from *Wink *Wink *ink.

Thank you

Kona Kid Top 3 Pick

This is Mom, posting again for Liz. She was one of the top 3 picks for the Kona Kid Krafter's for her patriotic project in the post below. I am so proud. She is excited that she gets a badge for her blog.
